As natural progression with any artist's career there is always the want to test the limits and create new ideas.  The idea of Roots started in the summer of 2013.  I took a step back and looked at my life.  I couldn't have been happier. I had achieved several personal goals in my life.  A successful career, wonderful marriage & meaningful friendships. However things outside of my inner circle seemed to be changing. The people, the venues I visited and overall attitudes seemed to be different. With having an old soul and old fashioned ways, I had found an inspiration to design something new.

Roots was founded on the belief that no matter what, you should stay on your path and achieve greatness based on your own standards, not others.  I had taken notice that people are drifting away from what they believe in to please the opinions of others.  With that being said, the first design we decided to release was our "Stay True" shirt.

Our first year passed and we saw that Roots had been set in motion.  Our ultimate goal was to share the idea to "Stay True" and people seemed to be attracted to the motto.  This opened the door to expand our designs and create new content.

At the end of the day, Roots is my personal creative outlet to not only bring my ideas to life but to share those ideas in a positive spotlight for people to see and share.
